The North Battery

The North Battery of the 2nd Durham (Seaham)Artillery Volunteers (centre). These were also the quarters of the Sergeant Gunner. Beyond the North Battery is the old lighthouse on Red Acre Cliff (above) the old lifeboat station. To the right of the North Battery is the Coastguard station.
